The Resource Market is a new concept at this congress, aimed at promoting collaboration across research groups and countries. In this special poster session, senior scientists and clinicians present resources they wish to share with other researchers. Examples include:

  • Clinical and epidemiological cohorts

  • Registries and biobanks

  • Methodologies (e.g. questionnaires, diagnostic algorithms, test techniques)

  • Instrumentation

  • Laboratory and analytic facilities

  • Consortia

  • Research groups

  • Educational opportunities

  • Positions and career opportunities

Resources are presented as posters at the conference. Please submit your proposal to the Resource Market before March 15th, 2019 to abstract@sasp2019.com  using the following template

Poster sizes should not exceed 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (height).

Scientists wishing to present research results are referred to the regular poster session (see Abstracts).

Scientist wishing to present commercial products may do so as part of the commercial exhibition. See details below.

User participation workshop

The user participation workshop will run as a parallel session during the basic science portion of the conference and is open to patients, patient advocacy groups, health administrators, and researchers. This interactive workshop will be run by a team that has extensive experience with the efficient and successful integration of user representatives in research. The workshop will also provide opportunity for the participants to share and discuss their own experiences in this area.

The workshop will cover themes within structure, cooperation and recruitment of user representatives in research, among them:

  • What models are used today and what have we learned from their implementation?

  • What characteristics enable effective cooperation between researchers and user representatives?

  • Where and how to recruit patient representatives that are well-suited for health research projects?

Due to limited space, delegates who would like to participate in the workshop should indicate this when registering.
